When I go to a party without anyone from my team

Secretly I’m like:

When I think about all of my college friends that are no longer within walking distance
My friday nights now that I’m home
ON THE WAY HOME FROM GOING OUT
When someone tries to eat off of my plate
When no one will go to chipotle with me
When someone asks if I want to go to chipotle with them
People will say, ‘Oh but the love dies, the romance dies.’ Well to me that’s not really an excuse. Marriage is more than passion, it’s friendship, it’s hard work. It’s like we live in this world of fairy tale relationships, and it seems like that in the beginning, but that’s not the case… There ARE reasons to leave someone. But when there is suddenly no ‘magic,’ I think that our culture just says, ‘Okay, time to move on!’ It’s a selfishness that exists and is acceptable.
Unknown, this is a great example of how marriage is abused in our society. It’s something to fix, not throw away. It’s time to stop treating marriage as just another relationship. When it’s not going well, work on it, don’t just give up. Don’t walk away, don’t sleep with other people. Talk with your spouse, get counseling, and work to fix it. Don’t just give it up.  (via sardonicdatingadvice)
